1971-72 Chevrolet Chevelle/El Camino Overdrive Slap-Shift Conversion by Shiftworks®
Transmission-matched detents retain the original horseshoe shifter and console.
This Shiftworks® kit converts the original horseshoe floor shifter in 1971-72 Chevrolet Chevelle and El Camino, and 1971-72 Monte Carlo, for a 700R4 / 200-4R / 4L60E transmission. The modified detent adds a slap-shift gate for sequential manual upshifts while retaining the original shifter and console. Includes the transmission pan bracket, shift lever, detent, console gear indicator and installation hardware. The shift cable and neutral safety switch are not included in this base kit.
