1968-70 Chevrolet Chevelle/El Camino 4L80E Slap-Shift Conversion by Shiftworks®
Transmission-matched detents retain the original horseshoe shifter and console.
This Shiftworks® kit converts the original horseshoe floor shifter in 1968-70 Chevrolet Chevelle and El Camino, and 1970 Monte Carlo, for a 4L80E transmission. The modified detent adds a slap-shift gate for sequential manual upshifts while retaining the original shifter and console. Includes the transmission pan bracket, shift lever, detent, console gear indicator and installation hardware. A 32-inch adjustable shift cable is recommended for the 4L80E installation. The shift cable and neutral safety switch are not included in this base kit.
