Cone-clutch limited-slip design with hardened steel gears
This Auburn Gear® Grip-N-Loc limited-slip differential fits the corresponding Buick/Oldsmobile/Pontiac 8.2" rear end. The cone-clutch design transfers more drive to the wheel with traction as wheel slip increases, while hardened steel gears support the differential assembly.
28-spline bolt-in axles; select 2.93–3.23:1 or 3.36:1-and-higher gear range. This design does not fit the Oldsmobile type-O axle with a 12-bolt cover and 10-bolt ring gear. The differential bearing combination must match the Auburn carrier.
