This cover prevents breakage of the cast-iron carrier bearing caps when they're subjected to a sudden loading, like a drag race launch. By slightly pre-loading the carrier bearing caps, the cover/girdle holds the cap in place so there's no movement and therefore no breakage. Made of 356-T6 aluminum, weighing only 7-lbs., the T/A cover/girdle is easy-to-install and comes with all the necessary instructions, bolts, washers and cover gasket.

Notes

  • Stud kits are used to help prevent stock cast-iron bearing caps from moving and causing carrier bearing failure.
