Balanced brass/copper design opens at the selected temperature under high coolant pressure.
This Mr. Gasket® high-flow thermostat uses a balanced brass-and-copper design intended to open at its rated temperature even as coolant pressure rises at higher engine speed. This SKU is offered with selectable 160°F, 180°F and 195°F opening temperatures. Choose the temperature that matches the engine and cooling-system setup; a gasket or seal is not included with the thermostat.
