This RESTOPARTS® fan shroud is a precise reproduction of the original GM small-block fan shroud used on 1969–70 Chevelle and El Camino models equipped with the large-core radiator.
Injection molded in durable ABS plastic, the shroud reproduces the original GM dimensions, fan opening, mounting configuration and reinforcing-rib design for proper fit with the factory-style cooling system. The molded body and face ribs are slightly more substantial than the original GM shroud, providing additional rigidity while retaining the original configuration and appearance.
Proper fan shroud fit is an important part of the engine cooling system. By surrounding the engine-driven fan and properly positioning it relative to the radiator, the shroud helps direct airflow through the radiator core rather than allowing the fan to draw air from around it.
Designed specifically for the large-core radiator application, identified by the factory-style 4-hole radiator top plate. This distinguishes it from the small-core radiator configuration, which uses a 3-hole top plate.
