Add modern climate control to your 1969 Chevelle or El Camino with the Vintage Air® Gen 5 SureFit system. Electronic controls manage temperature, variable blower speed and dash, floor and defrost airflow without control cables or vacuum lines. Separate high-density aluminum heat exchangers improve heating and cooling performance. Sealed blend doors help control airflow, while rubber mounting isolators and the blower design reduce transmitted noise and vibration. Built-in diagnostics and fail-safe functions support system service.
The complete set combines the behind-dash evaporator package and new electronic control panel with a compressor and bracket, condenser and brackets, drier, refrigerant lines, fittings, hardware and instructions. The case has removable coil-access covers, a block expansion valve and powder-coated steel brackets; a flat steel firewall cover tidies the installation. Select the kit for your original factory-AC or non-AC car. These V-belt-system packages require you to supply pulleys, V-belts, heater hose and refrigerant. Polished/chrome compressor, trinary-switch and LS-mounting upgrades are not standard inclusions.
