A/C Systems Expansion-Valve Bulb Insulation Tape (2 x 15 inches) by Old Air Products®

Tacky insulation tape wraps the expansion-valve sensing bulb to isolate it from ambient heat.

This Old Air Products® A/C expansion-valve insulation tape is used to wrap the thermostatic expansion-valve sensing bulb after installation. Insulating the bulb from surrounding air helps it respond to refrigerant-tube temperature as intended. The supplied tacky tape measures approximately 2 inches wide by 15 inches long.
