Compact behind-dash packaging with electronic temperature and airflow control.
Package heating, cooling and defrost in a compact behind-dash unit with the Vintage Air® Gen 5 Mini. The molded case retains the compact Gen II Mini envelope while adding electronic control, a variable-speed blower and a high-capacity coil. High-torque stepper motors position the air doors and heater control valve, while microprocessor coil-temperature control eliminates the external thermostat. A block expansion valve meters refrigerant flow. The kit includes mounting brackets, defrost ducts, wiring, duct hose and a heater control valve, and works with Gen 5 Builder and SureFit controls. A compatible control panel and the underhood A/C components are required separately. Plan for compressor, condenser, drier, refrigerant plumbing, heater hose and the appropriate binary or trinary safety switch.
