Chevrolet Small Block/Big Block Flame-Thrower HEI Distributor (Black, Cast) by PerTronix®

An integrated coil/module, brass-terminal cap and adjustable advance provide complete HEI ignition.

This PerTronix® Flame-Thrower HEI distributor combines its ignition coil and module in an alloy housing. The centerless-ground shaft and aligned, honed bushings support stable rotation, while a high-dielectric cap with brass terminals and a balanced rotor provide the high-voltage connections. Mechanical and vacuum advance can be tailored to the engine, and additional advance springs are supplied for curve adjustment. The manufacturer specifies Street/Strip HEI operation beyond 7,500 rpm. The cast-finish housing is supplied with a black cap. It does not require a separate ignition-control box.
