One of the most effective ways to improve the stiffness and handling of your A-Body is to box the factory frame. The Frame FX kit takes all of the guesswork out of the job and gives you 14 pre-cut panels manufactured in 10-gauge steel to match the thickness of the factory frame and fit into the weak points of the original chassis. Hellwig has also engineered a panel that adds an extra body mount to tie the floor to the chassis using an included polyurethane bushing, to add even more strength to the entire car. The kit also includes brackets for mounting the transmission crossmember with enough adjustment to accommodate nearly any drivetrain configuration. While fabrication and welding skills are necessary for proper installation, the kit comes with everything you need, including a detailed instruction booklet, to make this job a success.
