This RESTOPARTS® Approved parking brake assembly is a reproduction of the original General Motors design for 1968-72 GTO and LeMans, 1968-70 Tempest and 1969-72 Grand Prix models. It duplicates the factory ratcheting mechanism that holds the applied pedal until the release handle is pulled. The assembly includes the pedal mechanism, release rod, handle and rubber pedal pad. The pad provides a gripping surface underfoot, while the original-style pedal and release arrangement preserve the factory operation and appearance. Replacing these components together addresses wear in the pedal ratchet and release mechanism as one assembly.
