This RESTOPARTS® Approved parking brake assembly is a reproduction of the original General Motors assembly for 1968-69 Chevelle and El Camino models. The steel assembly duplicates the factory ratcheting arrangement: pressing the pedal applies the parking brake, and the ratchet holds it until the release handle is pulled. The package includes the pedal assembly, release rod, handle, rubber pedal pad and pedal trim. The rubber pad provides a gripping surface underfoot, while the matching trim and release handle maintain the original interior appearance. Replacing the assembly addresses worn ratchet and release components together.
