1968–72 GM A-Body Front Disc Brake Kit, Stock-Height Spindles by CPP®
11-inch dimple-drilled and slotted rotors, stock-height spindles and a 11-inch vacuum booster.
Convert your 1968–72 GM A-Body to power front disc brakes with this CPP kit. It combines stock-height disc-brake spindles, two 11-inch dimple-drilled and slotted rotors and loaded single-piston cast-iron calipers with brake pads. The stock-height spindles retain the standard front ride height. The wheel bolt pattern is 5 x 4.75 inches.
The wheel-end equipment includes caliper brackets, dust shields, inner and outer bearings, grease seals, dust caps, spindle hardware and stainless-steel flexible hoses. The power-brake package adds a gold-finish 11-inch single-diaphragm vacuum booster, a cast-iron master cylinder with a 1-1/8-inch bore, a proportioning valve, pedal-extension rod and installation hardware. A front brake-line conversion kit is included. The spindle assemblies accept the original ball joints and tie-rod ends. Check steering-arm mounting holes and clearance with 15-inch or larger disc-brake-compatible wheels before installation. The rotor dimples do not pass through the braking surface.
