1968–72 Chevrolet A-Body 11-Inch Rear Disc Brake Conversion Kit by CPP®
Standard rear disc conversion with plain vented rotors and caliper-operated mechanical parking brakes.
Convert the rear drums on your 1968–72 Chevelle or El Camino, or 1970–72 Monte Carlo with this CPP standard rear disc kit for the factory Chevrolet 10- or 12-bolt axle. Two 11-inch plain-face vented rotors work with single-piston cast-iron calipers that incorporate mechanical parking-brake levers. The wheel bolt pattern is 5 x 4.75 inches.
The kit includes the rotors, rear calipers, caliper-mounting brackets, rubber flexible brake hoses, rear axle hard lines, line-mounting tabs, universal cut-to-fit parking-brake cables, differential-cover gaskets and mounting hardware. Fit and adjust the parking-brake cables during installation to retain the mechanical parking-brake function.
Use 15-inch or larger disc-brake-compatible wheels. C-clip eliminators may require modifications or additional shims for caliper alignment. The vehicle’s master cylinder and proportioning valve must be suitable for the completed front/rear brake combination.
