Convert the rear drum brakes on your 1957–68 Cadillac with this CPP big brake kit for the factory rear axle. Two 12-inch zinc-coated, dimple-drilled and slotted rotors work with aluminum calipers offered in red or black powder coat. The calipers incorporate mechanical parking-brake levers, so the conversion retains a cable-operated parking brake. The package includes the rear calipers and rotors, caliper-mounting bracket kit, flexible brake hoses and mounting hardware, including bracket spacers and shims. CPP’s current listing also includes hard lines and universal parking-brake cables, which require fitting to the vehicle. The wheel bolt pattern is 5 x 5 inches. Use 16-inch or larger disc-brake-compatible wheels and verify clearance, including the 8-1/4-inch inward caliper clearance specified by CPP. This rear wheel kit does not convert the front brakes; assess the master cylinder and proportioning valve for the completed brake system. The rotor dimples do not pass through the braking surface.
