1950–55 Cadillac Standard Front Disc Brake Conversion Kit by CPP®
Front disc brake conversion with 11.6-inch vented rotors; retains factory drum-brake spindles.
Convert the front drum brakes on your 1950–55 Cadillac while retaining the original drum-brake spindles. This CPP standard kit pairs two 11.6-inch plain-face vented rotors with single-piston cast-iron calipers and aluminum hubs. The vented rotors provide air passages between the braking surfaces to help dissipate heat.
The wheel-end package includes the calipers, rotors, hubs, caliper-mounting brackets, bearings, seals, rubber flexible brake hoses, dust-cap hardware and mounting hardware. It uses the Cadillac 5 x 5-inch wheel bolt pattern and does not include replacement spindles. A compatible dual-reservoir master cylinder and correctly configured proportioning valve must be addressed as part of the conversion. Fabricate the hard-line connections as needed. Use disc-brake-compatible wheels and check clearance; factory drum-brake wheels may not clear the new brakes.
