An open air gap isolates the runners from engine heat to support a cooler, denser intake charge.
This Edelbrock® RPM Air-Gap intake is designed for 262-400 cubic-inch Chevrolet Small Block engines using 1996-and-later Vortec cylinder heads. It combines a high-flow dual-plane layout with isolated intake runners. The open separation limits heat transfer from the engine beneath the runners, helping deliver a cooler, denser mixture across a broad performance powerband. The polished finish provides a bright appearance for a detailed engine compartment.
