Replace a worn or malfunctioning fuel tank sending unit with this original-style reproduction designed for the 1986 Cadillac DeVille and Fleetwood. Manufactured with a stainless steel main body and lightweight brass float, this assembly monitors the fuel level inside the tank and transmits the corresponding signal to the factory dashboard fuel gauge. Its original-style configuration maintains proper fuel level monitoring without modifications to the factory instrumentation. A faulty sending unit can cause inaccurate or erratic fuel gauge readings, making it difficult to determine the amount of fuel remaining in the tank. This replacement includes a new neoprene gasket to help provide a proper seal during installation.
