The fuel tank sending unit lock ring secures the fuel pump or sending unit assembly within the fuel tank, maintaining proper positioning and compression of the sealing gasket. This original-style replacement is designed to engage the factory retaining points around the tank opening, providing a secure attachment without modifying the original mounting arrangement.
A corroded, bent or damaged lock ring can prevent the fuel pump module from seating correctly and may compromise the fuel tank seal. Replacing the retaining ring during fuel pump or sending unit service helps maintain proper gasket compression and prevents movement of the assembly. Designed for select 2004–20 Cadillac Escalade, 2008–19 CTS and 2013–19 ATS applications.
