This rubber grommet cushions the fuel filler neck at the body opening on your El Camino or wagon. It separates the neck from the surrounding body panel, helping prevent contact noise and abrasion while retaining the original-style appearance around the opening. The grommet services the body pass-through, not a fuel-line connection.
