This comprehensive RESTOPARTS® fuel tank kit brings together carefully selected, application-correct components for replacement of the original fuel tank assembly on 1971–72 Buick Skylark models equipped with a 3/8-inch fuel sending unit and 1/4-inch return line. At the center of the kit is the correct 20-gallon reproduction fuel tank featuring the original-style 3-vent configuration and integral filler neck. The tank is professionally die-stamped from galvanized steel to reproduce the original factory dimensions, contours and mounting configuration. The galvanized steel features a double-sided zinc coating for corrosion resistance, protecting both the interior and exterior surfaces. Tank seams and attached components are copper brazed for strength and durability, with an additional protective finish applied to the brazed areas. The tank includes the fuel-sending-unit lock ring and gasket and is paired with the correct 3/8-inch sending unit with 1/4-inch return. The complete kit also brings together the corresponding galvanized mounting straps and hardware, tank-to-body seal, fuel and return hoses with clamps, and the correct deep-style vented fuel cap. The components are application-matched to provide a properly coordinated fuel-tank replacement package without requiring the individual pieces to be selected separately.
