Restore the fuel system of your 1970 Pontiac GTO, LeMans or Tempest with this comprehensive 20-gallon fuel tank replacement kit. Designed for applications equipped with an Evaporative Emission Control (EEC) system, the kit features an original-style fuel tank with three vent connections and an integrated filler neck. The replacement tank provides a solution for deteriorated, leaking or internally corroded original tanks, while the included stainless steel fuel sending unit features a 3/8" fuel pickup connection without a return line. The sending unit utilizes the correct 0–90 ohm resistance range to maintain compatibility with the original-style fuel gauge, helping restore accurate fuel level monitoring and dependable fuel pickup operation. To simplify installation, this complete package includes a pair of galvanized steel mounting straps, fuel tank strap hardware and protective rubber sealing material that cushions the tank against the mounting straps to reduce metal-to-metal contact, vibration and squeaks. A vented fuel cap, 3/8" fuel hose and matching clamps are also supplied, providing additional components needed when replacing an aging fuel tank assembly. By combining the tank, sending unit and essential mounting accessories into one convenient package, this kit eliminates the need to purchase these components individually and provides a coordinated solution for fuel system restoration and repair.
