This comprehensive RESTOPARTS® fuel tank kit brings together carefully selected, application-correct components for replacement of the original fuel tank assembly on 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass models equipped with a 3/8-inch fuel sending unit with return line and without EEC. The reproduction fuel tank is professionally die-stamped to reproduce the original factory dimensions, contours and mounting configuration. The tank includes the sending-unit lock ring and gasket and is paired with the correct 3/8-inch sending unit with return. The remaining mounting, sealing and fuel-system components are application-matched to provide a properly coordinated replacement package. Three tank materials are available to suit different restoration requirements: Galvanized Steel features a double-sided zinc coating for corrosion resistance on both the interior and exterior surfaces. Seams and attached components are copper brazed, with additional protection applied to the brazed areas. Ni-Terne Steel features a double-sided zinc-tin alloy coating for enhanced corrosion resistance and the distinctive appearance associated with Terne-finished fuel tanks. The tank is tin soldered at the seams. Premium Stainless Steel is stamped from 304 stainless steel to the original-style configuration, providing excellent corrosion resistance and a clean, premium finished appearance. The stainless tank is also tin soldered at the seams. These construction distinctions are consistent with OPGI's specifications for its three-material tank program.
