This comprehensive RESTOPARTS® fuel tank kit is designed for 1968 and 1970 Pontiac GTO, Tempest and LeMans models equipped with a 3/8-inch fuel sending unit without return, bringing together the properly matched components needed to replace the original fuel tank assembly. At the center of the kit is the correct 20-gallon reproduction fuel tank featuring the original-style 2-vent configuration and separate filler-neck arrangement. Professionally stamped to reproduce the factory dimensions, contours and mounting configuration, the tank is available in a choice of Galvanized Steel, Ni-Terne Steel or Premium Stainless Steel. The Galvanized Steel version features a double-sided zinc coating for corrosion resistance, with copper-brazed seams and components for strength and durability. Ni-Terne Steel features a double-sided zinc-tin alloy coating, while Premium Stainless Steel is stamped from 304 stainless steel for excellent corrosion resistance and a clean, premium finished appearance. The tank is paired with the correct 3/8-inch sending unit without return, along with application-matched mounting, sealing and fuel-delivery components for a coordinated fuel-tank replacement package.
