This comprehensive RESTOPARTS® fuel tank kit combines the major components required to replace the original fuel tank assembly on 1968–69 Oldsmobile Cutlass models equipped with the 2-vent tank configuration and 3/8-inch fuel sending unit with return line. The kit is built around the correct 20-gallon reproduction fuel tank with two factory-style vent connections and integral filler neck. Professionally die-stamped from galvanized steel, the tank reproduces the original factory dimensions, contours and mounting configuration. The galvanized steel features a double-sided zinc coating for corrosion resistance, protecting both the interior and exterior surfaces. Tank seams and attached components are copper brazed for strength and durability, with an additional protective finish applied to the brazed areas. The fuel tank includes the sending-unit lock ring and gasket and is paired with the correct 3/8-inch fuel sending unit with return. The complete kit also brings together the related tank mounting, sealing, fuel-line and installation components needed for a properly coordinated replacement.
