This comprehensive RESTOPARTS® fuel tank kit brings together the properly matched components needed to replace the original fuel tank assembly on 1968–69 Pontiac GTO, Tempest and LeMans models. At the center of the kit is the correct 20-gallon reproduction fuel tank, professionally stamped to reproduce the original factory dimensions, contours and mounting configuration. The tank is available in the customer's choice of Galvanized Steel or Premium Stainless Steel, providing two excellent options depending on the desired finish and level of corrosion resistance. The Galvanized Steel version features a double-sided zinc coating for corrosion resistance on both the interior and exterior surfaces. Seams and attached components are copper brazed for strength and durability, with additional protection applied at the brazed areas. For customers seeking maximum corrosion resistance and a premium finished appearance, the Premium Stainless Steel version is stamped from 304 stainless steel to the same factory-style dimensions and configuration, providing long-term durability without sacrificing original fit. The kit combines the fuel tank with the corresponding sending unit and application-matched mounting, sealing and fuel-system components, providing a coordinated package for replacing the original fuel tank system rather than sourcing the necessary components individually.
