This premium RESTOPARTS® fuel tank is specifically reproduced for 1985–87 Chevrolet El Camino / GMC Caballero models equipped with electronic fuel injection (EFI). With the correct 22-gallon capacity, original-style dimensions, contours and mounting configuration, it provides a direct replacement for the factory tank while retaining the vehicle's original fuel-system layout. Professionally stamped from steel, the tank features a double-sided galvanized zinc coating for corrosion resistance on both the interior and exterior surfaces. Tank seams and attached components are copper brazed for strength and durability, with additional protection applied to the brazed areas. Unlike the carbureted tanks used on earlier 1978–87 El Camino applications, L241311 is specifically configured for the 1985–87 EFI fuel system. The tank incorporates the required fuel-system provisions along with the factory-style filler neck directly into the tank assembly, maintaining the correct original-style installation. OPGI separately catalogs L241308 as the 22-gallon non-EFI tank, making this distinction important when selecting the correct replacement. The fuel-sending-unit lock ring and gasket are included, providing the corresponding retention and sealing components for installation of the sending unit.
