This RESTOPARTS® Approved reproduction fuel tank is made for 1971–72 Pontiac GTO and LeMans models using the original three-vent fuel system. The formed steel tank profile provides the factory-style mounting position, filler neck and sending-unit opening. Three vent connections accommodate the vehicle’s original vapor-routing arrangement, which differs from the earlier single-vent tank design. Verify the vehicle’s original vent hoses and emissions equipment before installing the tank, and inspect the sending-unit seal and filler-hose connections when replacing a corroded tank. The factory-pattern venting layout is the critical distinction from earlier single-vent fuel tanks.
