This RESTOPARTS® Approved reproduction fuel tank is made for 1969–70 Pontiac GTO, Tempest, LeMans and Grand Prix models with the original single-vent fuel system (without evaporative-emissions controls). The factory-profile stamped tank has a 20-gallon capacity, an integral filler neck and one vent connection. Its formed contours match the original mounting arrangement and position the opening for the fuel-level sending unit. Choose the galvanized-steel version with its corrosion-resistant zinc coating or the stainless steel version for an alternate material and finish. A lock ring and gasket are included for installation of the sending unit. Confirm that the vehicle uses the original one-vent configuration before ordering; the three-vent fuel tank used on certain 1970 applications is different.
