This high-quality reproduction fuel tank is designed for 1971–72 Cadillac models, reproducing the original 27-gallon capacity, 3-vent configuration, factory dimensions and mounting arrangement for proper installation in the original location. Professionally stamped from 20-gauge steel, CE16270 is formed to original-style dimensions and contours for the large-capacity Cadillac fuel system. A durable silver powder-coated finish protects the steel against rust and corrosion while providing a clean, original-style appearance. The tank incorporates the correct three-vent configuration used on these applications and retains the original-style filler-neck arrangement. The filler neck is not permanently incorporated as a complete assembly, allowing the tank to connect to the vehicle's original-style fuel-fill system. For Eldorado applications, the filler neck requires shortening for proper installation, an important application-specific detail that should remain prominently stated in the Notes.
