This premium reproduction fuel tank is designed for applicable 1950–53 Cadillac models, reproducing the original 20-gallon capacity, factory dimensions, contours and mounting configuration for proper installation in the original location. Professionally stamped from steel, the tank features a double-sided galvanized zinc coating for corrosion resistance on both the interior and exterior surfaces. The seams and attached components are copper brazed for strength and durability, with an additional protective coating applied at the brazed areas. CE16268 reproduces the correct single-vent fuel tank configuration used on these Cadillac applications. The tank is manufactured for the original separate filler-neck arrangement, with the proper flange for connection to the vehicle's large fuel-fill hose rather than an integral filler neck. The fuel-sending-unit lock ring and gasket are included, providing the correct retention and sealing components for installation of the sending unit.
