Factory-Style Reproduction — Original Under-Bed Tank Configuration

This high-quality reproduction fuel tank is designed to replace the original tank used on 1947–48 Chevrolet and GMC 1/2-ton pickup trucks. Unlike the later behind-the-seat fuel tanks, these early Advance-Design pickups used a tank mounted under the bed on the passenger side of the truck, and CTK3873 reproduces the original-style configuration for a proper restoration. Professionally stamped from steel, the tank reproduces the original factory shape, dimensions, mounting arrangement and fuel-system connections. Its application-specific design allows it to install in the original under-bed location using the corresponding factory-style mounting straps and brackets. The tank is designed to work with the original-style separate filler connection and hose, maintaining the factory fuel-filler arrangement rather than requiring modification of the truck. Replacement mounting straps, brackets and related fuel-system components are also available separately for a complete installation.
