Lightweight tubular-steel pushrod with steel tips for use with cast-iron camshaft fuel-pump lobes.
This lightweight tubular fuel-pump pushrod by COMP Cams® operates the mechanical fuel pump in compatible Chevrolet small-block and big-block engines using cast-iron camshaft fuel-pump lobes. The tubular steel body reduces weight compared with a solid original-style rod, while the steel tips provide wear surfaces against the camshaft and fuel-pump lever. Its 5.75-inch length and 0.500-inch diameter provide the specified fuel-pump actuation dimensions. This steel-tip version is designed for cast-iron cam applications; steel-roller camshaft cores call for a different compatible pushrod tip.
