1964–67 GM A-Body Column-Cover / 1964–77 Firewall-Pad Rubber Retainer
Flexible rubber retainer holds interior insulation and trim without hard plastic fasteners.
This rubber plug/retainer secures the lower steering-column cover in the specified 1964–67 GM A-Body installation and is also used as a firewall-insulation-pad retainer on documented 1964–77 applications. Unlike a rigid plastic fastener, the flexible rubber body can compress for insertion and recover its shape for retention. It is intended to maintain the original-style appearance of visible or concealed insulating-panel attachments; installation count varies by vehicle.
