12-Volt Electric Fuel Pump Controller by Revolution Electronics®

A tachometer signal keeps the pump running only while the engine runs, after a three-second prime.

This Revolution Electronics® controller primes the electric fuel pump for three seconds when the ignition is switched on, then uses the engine tachometer signal to keep the pump running. When the engine stops, the controller stops the pump, so the pump does not continue to operate simply because the key remains on. The 12-volt controller includes instructions and wiring for installation. Its direct pump circuit is limited to 4 amps continuous and 7.5 amps peak; pumps drawing more require an external relay rather than a direct connection through the controller.
