This electronic throttle body assembly is designed to replace a worn or malfunctioning original unit, providing precise regulation of intake airflow for the engine's electronic fuel injection system. Manufactured to meet or exceed original-equipment performance requirements, the complete assembly includes an integrated throttle position sensor that communicates throttle opening information to the engine control module.
Fit-tested and road-tested to verify dependable operation, this replacement throttle body is designed for select 2005-09 Cadillac STS and 2006-09 XLR applications. The electronically controlled throttle plate responds to commands from the engine management system, helping maintain proper idle speed, acceleration response and overall engine operation. Following installation, an idle relearn procedure may be necessary to establish proper throttle operation.
