Edelbrock® Pro-Flo 4 EFI system #35970 is a sequential-port fuel-injection conversion for traditional Pontiac 326–455 V8 engines (exc. Ram Air V, 265 and 301). Its satin-finish single-plane intake manifold and 4150-style four-barrel throttle body are matched to 29-lb/hr fuel injectors, with Edelbrock rating the package to support up to 450 HP when operated with the specified 58-PSI fuel pressure. The system supplies a purpose-matched electronic distributor, a fully terminated and clearly labeled wiring harness, and a compact, sealed electronic control unit (ECU) with Bluetooth communication for wireless calibration. The smaller sealed ECU packages the engine-management hardware without the bulk of an earlier-generation controller. Edelbrock’s E-Tuner 4 app communicates with the ECU through a compatible Android smartphone or tablet. Guided initial setup and dyno-developed starting calibrations reduce the need to build an EFI tune from scratch. The system uses closed-loop self-learning to refine fueling as the engine operates, while the display functions allow monitoring of engine conditions in real time. Advanced adjustments include air/fuel ratios, ignition timing and curve, idle speed, acceleration enrichment, cooling-fan control and rev limiting. A separate laptop is not required for normal setup and tuning. The OPGI “with Tablet” configuration includes a 7-inch Android tablet with the E-Tuner 4 app preinstalled; the kit is also operable with a compatible customer-owned Android device. Pro-Flo 4 meters fuel at the individual intake ports instead of relying on a throttle-body-only fuel-delivery conversion. The manifold uses a 6.60-inch height specification and a 1/8-27 NPT fuel-pressure test port. Installation requires a compatible high-pressure EFI fuel supply and correct vehicle plumbing; the tank, pump and lines are not implied to be included in this engine-management package.
