1978–81 GM V8 Carburetor Idle-Stop Solenoid (Electric)

Original-style electric solenoid contacts carburetor throttle linkage to establish the set idle stop.

This original-style electric idle-stop solenoid mounts at the carburetor throttle linkage on compatible 1978 Chevrolet 350 V8 engines with A/C and specified 1979–81 GM V8 applications. The electrically actuated plunger establishes the idle-stop position as required by the factory carburetor arrangement. This is the solenoid unit, not the separate mounting bracket or carburetor.
