Air Flow Research 1" carburetor spacers are manufactured from phenolic plastic and can be installed on any 4150 style carburetors, both spacers are to improve your engines output and air/fuel distribution by lengthening the intake mixture column. Both versions act as a heat barrier between the manifold and carburetor to keep the fuel in the float bowls cooler, as well as the actual carburetor's body itself. Which results in cooler, denser air/fuel induction charge for increased HP. Both have a clover leaf design reducing some of the turbulent air directly under the carburetor base making them more efficient. The open spacer is to increase high-RPM power, while the tapered 4-hole spacers to help increase mid-range torque. They fit the AFR line of composite intake manifolds perfectly but can be used on most aftermarket manifolds as well.
