Filtering through the top and side pleats increases the available air-entry area.

This K&N® XStream® assembly combines a filtering top with a washable, reusable side element. The top adds filter area and redirects airflow inside the cleaner to draw more air through the side pleats, supporting airflow to the carburetor. The 14" assembly has a 6-7/8" overall height, a 5" side element and a 5-1/8-inch carburetor neck opening. Check hood clearance using the total assembly height above the carburetor flange, not the side-element height alone. The cotton-gauze filter can be serviced instead of discarded.
