6AL-2 Ignition Control with Two-Step Rev Limiter by MSD®

Separate launch and over-rev limits combine with digitally managed spark output.

This MSD® 6AL-2 uses a microcontroller to manage ignition operation and maintain a 535-volt primary output. Multiple sparks at lower rpm span 20 degrees of crankshaft rotation to support combustion. Two rev-limit settings separate launch control from high-speed over-rev protection; the launch limit can be activated by a clutch switch or transmission brake. Rotary dials set the limits in 100-rpm increments. The unit includes wiring, vibration mounts and instructions for a compatible four-, six- or eight-cylinder installation.
