• NOTE²: When converting to a DRL (Daytime Running Lights) system, you have to drill a 1" hole in the headlight mounting bucket. When converting to a 5-3/4" diameter system, you may have to drill a 2" diameter hole in the core support for lamp clearance, due to the 1" deeper lamp.

Besides the powerful bulbs, the other reason these conversions provide so much light is the use of a lead crystal lens and a specially-finished parabolic reflector.
